Optimisation

What is Website Optimisation?

In simple terms website optimisation is getting more traffic to get more clients / sales.
SEO has as a main purpose the attraction of a number as big as possible of visitors and their conversion into clients.

The conversion rate of the visitors that entered your site through a search engine is much bigger than the conversion rate of users who come from PPC campaigns or other online marketing. So, as a result of website optimisation, a certain page of a site will be ‘found’ in search engines with the help of some expressions called keywords or key phrases.

Search Engine optimisation and Search Engine Placement are terms used to describe the practice of modifying, or ‘tuning’, invisible and visible website content according to the search terms it should be found under. Some parts of this process are on-site; the modifying of the actual website – some work involves establishing links from other websites to yours; this, performed correctly, shows some search engines (presently Google and MSN in particular) that your site is an ‘authority’ site and is valued by other websites.

Important Website Optimisation Issues:

1. To encourage the visitor to navigate through your site.
2. To introduce ‘hot spots’ and strong calls to action.
3. To assist in the indexing of pages within the search engines.

Why get a website optimised?

Have you ever heard : ‘Get your own house in order’. Well, Google and the other search engines have guidelines and rules that you should adhere too. Most websites have been built for looks and do not consider the rules that need to be followed to help get a better ROI.

We are continually astounded at the way most websites are still being built. Its such a shame, so many customers have a misconception that making money online is as easy as just buying a website and the money will roll in. Think again. On-page website optimisation is probably the most important part of getting a website to work. Every website needs work, some more than others.
